This black cast iron kettle was used by John Archibald Sr.'s company, the Jump Creek Sheep Company, later owned by his son, John Archibald Jr. John Archibald Junior's wife was Marjorie Archibald, the person from whom Narcy Anchustegui acquired this kettle. The kettle has a thin wire handle attached to opposite sides of the body of the kettle from vertically oriented cast iron loops. The lid of the kettle has a small cast iron handle attached at the center, and "12 IN" in raised letters below it. The rim of the lid extends above the surface of the lid by about 1.25".
