Quilts, patchwork sewing quilting textile crafts
A patchwork quilt with cotton batting and a cotton fabric back. Most of the 150 patches (15 patches across by 10 patches down) are made of wool fabric, possibly from men's suits. All of the stitching on this quilt appears to have been done by hand. The edging around the quilt is less than 1 inch wide and the same color as the backing. Some of the fabrics used as patches repeat in the quilt, some are unique. This quilt was found in the east side low storage of bedroom 8 at 607 Grove Street.
