One pair of open-toed baby slippers that belonged to one of Dr. Arego's father's sisters when he was a baby. The sole and sides of the slippers are made from off-white crocheted cotton. The top opening of each slipper is edged with pink crocheted cotton that varies in color from dark to light pink. The opening can be cinched tight by means of a light pink ribbon tied in a bow on top of the toe, the ribbon runs through the crocheted material completely around the ankle. A note was included with the slippers when donated that reads: "These baby shoes are from the Arego Family - very old." These slippers are associated with the "Little Kickers" box (1987.003.002). The box was donated with these slippers inside because Dr. Arego found them among his father's things after his death inside the box.
