Pink paper wrapped cardboard shoe box. The lid and four sides of the box show a cartoon character girl dressed in boots with spurs, woolly chaps, a belt with a large buckle, vest, long-sleeved shirt, bandanna, and ten-gallon cowboy hat with a lasso. The lasso is spelling out "Little Kickers" in the air. Below that, in bold all-caps font is "INFANTS TOT-AGE SHOES." Below this line in non-bold font is "Well Styled, Correctly Fitted" A sun is peeping over the horizon line between two cacti. On the one side of the box, the style number and size is printed. "Style No . I 09 (?)" and "Size 11." On the inside of the box and the lid, "Copyright 1945 - Ed White Jr., St. Louis, Mo." is printed along the edge of the pink paper. Only on the box bottom, "Wraps by A. C. Clayton Printing Co., St. Louis, Mo." is printed along a short edge. In pencil, on the bottom of the box, "1.20" is written in one corner. A 13 1/4" x 6" piece of cream colored tissue paper is folded up inside the box. This item is associated with the baby slippers (1987.003.001) because when it was donated, the shoes were inside of the box. Dr. Arego found the baby slippers inside of the box after his father's death, when he was going through is father's things. A note accompanied the donation that read: "These baby shoes are from the Arego Family - very old."
