Bisque doll head given to Mary "Mamie" Jacobs by her parents, Cyrus and Mary Ellen Jacobs. According to Joyce Frenell, each Jacobs girl was given a doll with hair and eye color that matched their own. Mamie may have had black hair and blue eyes. The doll has curly black hair (part of ceramic mold) parted in the center, and light blue eyes. It also has very rosy cheeks. The "skin" is pure white. There are two holes just above the bottom edge in the front and back of the doll. This is where the soft body would have been sewn on. No maker's mark.
